CK-12 Flexbooks
Although started for k-12, many books now are at the college level and all books can be customized, meaning you can add or take out sections.

College Open Textbooks
Part of the Community College Open Textbooks Collaborative. They have identified more than 550 open source textbooks for use.

Flat World Knowledge
Large publisher of open college level textbooks.

Merlot
Open textbook site. Over 900 textbooks.

M.I.T. Open Courseware
Many courses also include open textbooks.

OER Commons
OER website that has college level textbooks.


Library E-Books

Although not open source or "free", the library has over 20,000 e-books that students can use. These e-books can be used on or off campus and could be used as main or supplemental reading, particularly in the humanities and social sciences.

Ebrary

The library has 20,000 online books from the vendor Ebrary. This is the community college collection, of interest to students and faculty at 2-year colleges. All books are simultaneously available to all RCC users.
